How to Add Gnosis Chain to Meta Mask

Cryptocurrency enthusiasts have a choice when it comes to software wallets, but MetaMask is among the most popular solutions. Let’s check out how to add Gnosis Chain to Meta Mask!

Step 1: Install MetaMask.

You first need to install MetaMask in your browser, which can take a few minutes. There is a link for you to download the extension on the official website. When you add it to your browser, just choose “Settings” and then click “More Tools”. Something like this will appear on your screen:

You can also pin the extension to your browser if you toggle the blue button:

Step 2: Open the MetaMask in a separate browser tab

After the installation is complete, the next step is to open the wallet in a separate browser tab. The wallet is available in the upper right corner of your browser. Click on the MetaMask Fox icon if there is a wallet. If you haven’t pinned a wallet, click the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. You will see the following screen:

There is also an option to expand the wallet to a new browser page by clicking “Expand view:”.

This opens the MetaMask in a new tab:

Step 3: Add the Gnosis chain to your Metamask wallet.

By selecting the profile icon at the top right, you can add a Gnosis chain. Click Settings to open the following screen:

Open the “Networks” option from the following screen:

And then bring up the following screen:

Click “Add a Network” to add the Gnosis chain. Copy and paste the information from below:

Click “Save” to add the network. Gnosis Chain is now added to your network:

Step 4: Transfer GNO to your wallet.

To add the Gnosis token (GNO) to your MetaMask, you can use any exchange that supports GNO. For example, Binance is an option that lets you withdraw GNO to your MetaMask.

Select “Withdraw” and open the following screen:

Copy your MetaMask address from the clipboard in your account:

Paste it into the address folder. The correct network is automatically selected: in this case, Ethereum. GNO is not yet available on the Gnosis chain.

Select the amount you want to withdraw and click on “Withdraw:”.

After processing the exchange withdrawal request, you receive GNO directly in your Metamask wallet.
